Wildcats claw the Yellow Jackets in their nest, 20 to 6

The Boise City Wildcats lagged statistically on the road as they trounced Clayton New Mexico's Yellow Jackets 20 to 6.
The first quarter was scoreless, and the second quarter two-thirds gone when Josh Bass, a team member from Felt, ripped off a 61 -yard scamper to paydirt; quarterback Chase Loyd added the seventh point with his kick.
The two defenses settled into another scoreless period during the third quarter.
With the fourth quarter nearly half gone, Bass again smelled touchdown and scampered 88 yards for his second TD; Loyd again added an extra point with an accurate kick.
With 7:21 left in the game the Yellow Jacket's Cesar Urrutia stepped across from four yards out; the PAT failed and the Wildcats led 14-6.
With 2:26 left in the game, the Wildcat's Matt Daffern playing secondary, picked off a Yellow Jacket pass and went 54 yards for the final TD. The pass attempt to add two points failed as the Wildcats posted their first win of the young 2004-05 season.
