Eagles sink talons in Titans, 48-8

The Yarbrough-Keyes Titans traveled to Goodwell on Friday night, and received a thumping for their trouble.

The feisty Titans cleaned the Goodwell Eagles clocks on most of the stats, but the Eagles sent the Titans home with their second loss of the season 48-6.

Once again it was the opponents aerial attack, and the Titans lack of one which seemed to make the difference.

The Titans had no yardage through the air, and the Eagles had 75 to take home the total offense yardage of 324 compared to 318 for the Titans.

The first score of the game was an Eagle interception of a Grazier pass which went for 90 yards, Adrian Huerra added two to his six, it was 8-0, Eagles.

Huerrea and the Eagles came right back with a 60 yard run, the conversion was no good, 14-0.

In the second quarter, Huerra had two runs of 10 and six yards and Derrick had one conversion while Grant's failed, it was 34-0 at the half.

The Titans contained the Eagles in the third, holding them to one TD on a 33-yard pass from Grant to Huerra, the kick was good, it was 42-zip when the fourth quarter came up.

Collins saved the Titans from a goose egg with a 67 yard sprint and added two, it was 42-8.

But the Eagles QB, Grant called his own number and scampered 40 yards for the final TD, the conversion attempt failed, and the whistle blew at 48-6.
