Miss Cimarron County Scholarship Pageant is set for October 7, 2006

The Miss Cimarron County Scholarship Pageant is set for October 7, 2006 . The theme for this year's pageant is Carnival Lights, Carousel Nights. There are four divisions for entries, Queen, Princess, Sweetheart, and the Belles and Beaus Review.

The Queen Division is for girls in grades 9th-12 th . The winner will be awarded a $500.00 scholarship to the college in which she attends. A Closed Interview, Casual Wear Competition, and Formal Wear Competition are the three categories in which they will compete in for the title of Miss Cimarron County Queen.

The Princess Division is for girls in grades 5 th -8 th . The winner will be awarded a $50.00 savings bond and the title of Miss Cimarron County Princess. In this division they will also compete in a Closed Interview, Casual Wear Competition and Formal Wear Competition.

For girls grades 1st-4 th is the Sweetheart Division. In this division they only do a Closed Interview and Party Dress or Formal Wear Competition. The winner of this division will receive a $50.00 savings bond and the title of Miss Cimarron County Sweetheart.

The Belles and Beaux Review is open to any child or grandchild ages three years to Kindergarten. The Belles will receive tiaras and the Beaux will receive trophies.

The Talent competition is open to anyone ages three years to 12 th grade and is a resident of Cimarron County . This competition is split in to three divisions, Elementary Talent ages three years to 4 th grade, Junior Talent grades 5 th -8 th and Senior Talent 9th-12 th grade. The Talent competition is a separate category. This event will be judge separately. Winners of each division will be awarded a trophy.

The Academic award is sponsored by the Boise City Rotary Club. You must be a contestant of either the pageant or the talent competition to enter. This award competition has three divisions in it, Queen, Princess, and Sweetheart. The winner in each division will be awarded a trophy and gift from the Rotary Club.

Entry Forms will be handed out at all the Cimarron County Schools and Head Start. You may also pick-up a form at the Boise City Family Pharmacy or at the Principal's Office of the Boise City High School . All rules and fees are listed on the entry form.
