Exploring child found A five-year-old boy, unfamilair with the area, wandered away from a farm southeast of Boise City late Saturday evening. He wandered away, just exploring, said Cimarron County Sheriff Keith Borth. We got the call at about 8:52 p.m. and it was getting dark when Derek [Cimarron County Deputy Derek Kincannon] found him, Borth said. I went around by the highway and Derek cut across country. He saw him and his two dogs out there, Borth added. Asked if the young man realized he was lost, Borth replied, No, he knew where he was. He just walked away from the house with his two dogs to explore. It was normal roaming, but I was getting concerned since it was getting dark. Thankfully, it had a happy ending, Borth said.
