Special B.C. School board meeting Meeting was called to order by Iris Imler at 6:07 p.m., Tuesday, May 17. Members present: Bryan Alvarez, Ronnie Cochran, Iris Imler, Curt Sparkman. Members absent: John Schumacher. Administration present: Dan Faulkner, Kim Jenkins. Others present: Toni Thornton, minutes clerk Approval of warrants and encumbrances Motion was made by Bryan Alvarez and seconded by Curt Sparkman to approve the following warrants and encumbrances: Bond Fund encumbrances 1-2 totaling $40,460.00. Motion carried 4-0. Current business The Board reviewed track and curbing bids. No action was taken The Board discussed windows on the west side of the gym. Motion was made by Ronnie Cochran and seconded by Bryan Alvarez to approve an agreement allowing Cimarron County to help with summer projects on school grounds. Motion carried 4-0. Motion was made by Ronnie Cochran and seconded by Curt Sparkman to enter executive session at 6:16 p.m. to discuss hiring a high school secretary, pursuant to 307 (B) (1). Motion carried 4-0. John Schumacher arrived at 6:25 p.m. Motion was made by Curt Sparkman and seconded by Ronnie Cochran to return to open session at 7:12 p.m. Motion carried 5-0. The Board convened in executive session at 6:16 p.m. Present were the Board, Dan Faulkner, and Kim Jenkins. The hiring of a high school secretary was discussed. No votes were taken and no decisions were made. Motion was made by Curt Sparkman and seconded by John Schumacher to hire Evelyn Moore as high school secretary. Motion carried 5-0.
