Commissioner’s Districts, Sheriff’s Office divide FEMA money

County Clerk Colleen Crabtree said Thursday that FEMA funds for the early 2007 blizzard have been received. The funds totaled $419, 918.16 were divided by district. District I received $136, 571.50; II, $108, 924.04; III, $172, 513.61; and the Sheriff’s Office, $1,909.01. The Sheriff’s money went into the General Fund and the district dollars for road repairs. Crabree explained that District III had more money coming due to one road being more badly damaged. She added that FEMA would pay 75 percent of the damages, the state of Oklahoma 12.5 percent, with the county absorbing the remaining 12.5 percent
