Boise City man faces a variety of charges

A 19-year-old Boise City man is out on a bond of $5,000, while facing charges ranging from public intoxication to indecent exposure and attempted rape.
Eric Rosas was arrested and jailed on May 7, after an alleged incident in West Central Boise City .
The first and more serious charge is a first degree felony for attempted rape.
Rosas is alleged to have, with the use of force and violence, made threats of bodily harm while attempting to overcome the resistance of a young woman to sexual advances.
The punishment for this felony could range from five years to life in prison.
The second charge, also a felony, is for having exposed himself to the female while in a public place. The punishment for this felony could range from a fine of $500 to $20,000 and/or a sentence of 30 days to ten years.
The third charge is a misdemeanor for public intoxication. The punishment for this misdemeanor could be imprisonment of five to 30 days and a fine of $10 to $100, or both.
Rosas is next due in court on June 7.
