Teen recovering from motocross accident

Jeremy Richardson, 15, is recovering from injuries suffered in a Motocross accident on Sunday.

He is the son of Mr and Mrs Jamie Richardson of Boise City and is currently in an Amarillo , Texas hospital.

The teen has been riding competively in Motocross events for about three years. He was competing near Texhoma when the accident occured.

According to reports, Richardson went over one of the man-made dirt ramps and somehow lost control. The rider following him over the ramp stopped and signaled for help.

Richardson was transferred to the Memorial Hospital in Guymon by the Texhoma EMS, and transported by air ambulance to Amarillo .

The young man reportedly suffered a severe head injury but is awake, alert and was up on Monday talking to family members.
