The Boise City Garden Club met at the Dairy Queen on March 14 with Louise Smith as hostess.
The flag salute and a devotional were given.
The minutes were read and approved.
The fair committee gave their suggestions for new entries in the fair book, the changes were voted on and approved.
The flower show on Saturday, during Santa Fe Trail Days will be held at the Country Store, with the Home Culture Club.
A committee will aquire a walnut tree to plant beside the dugout at the museum.
It was decided that due to the dry conditions, “Yard of the Month” would begin in May instead of April.
Bonnie Borth was appointed Secretary-pro-tem during the absence of Mickey Lynch.
Louise Smith gave an interesting program on “Tips to planting your garden” The tips were, grace, privacy, props, health, charm, design, escape, habitats, drainage, pathways, fertilizing and trees and shrubs.
President Caroline Witten led the collect. Those present were Caroline, Mae Jenkins, Deb Rebel, Bernice Compton, Bonnie Borth, Louise Smith, Lois Stansell and Helen Moore.
