County, Boise City voters face decisons Feb. 24
The voters of Cimarron County, and Boise City, have decisions to make on Feb. 24.
County-wide, the proposition is back asking the county citizens to continue to support a two percent sales tax for the maintenance, operation and capital improvements to the Cimarron Memorial Hospital and Nursing Home.
If passed the sales tax would remain in effect through June 30, 2007.
Voters within Boise City are being asked to vote on an authorization for Xcel Energy (Southwestern Public Service) to have the franchise to deliver electricity to deliver their product to the city's residents.
If passed, the franchise would run for ten years.
Voters needing a mailed ballot have until 5 p.m., Feb. 18 to either mail, fax, or telegraph for a ballot.
For those wishing to vote in-person absentee, those dates will be Friday, Feb. 20 and Monday, Feb. 23, from 8 a.m to 6 p.m. at the election board offices in the courthouse basement.
