Harris encourages citizens by C.F. David Jody Harris, of the United States Department of Agriculture's Rural Development section traveled to Boise City on Thursday, Jan. 19. Harris, meeting with citizens concerned about Cimarron County 's future, outlined some grant possibilities that might bring funds and fresh business faces into the county. Harris pointed to the possibilities in renewable energy and dairies as possibilities. Another possibility Harris advanced was “value added grants” with which agriculture producers could use to market their products. Several of those present pointed out that what was needed was more interest from county residents as well as a show of concern from the area's state representation and administration.
