Truck overturns near state line
The state line curve on Highway 385, 13 miles southwest of Boise City , claimed another truck at 1:28 p.m. on Saturday, the second in just over a week near the Texas state line.
The southbound truck, a 1990 Peterbilt, hauling hay, and being driven by Harold Joe Day, 58, of Vici, failed to negotiate the curve and laid over on its side.
Day was transported by ambulance to Cimarron Memorial Hospital in Boise City . He was treated and released with a head injury.
His passenger, John Burton, 59, of Clinton , was also transported to Memorial Hospital and admitted with leg and internal injuries, he was listed in good condition.
Seat belts were in use and no one was ejected.
The wreck was responded to by Trooper Boyd Perry of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the Cimarron County Sheriff's Office and Cimarron County EMS .
