Keyes School Board suspends Superintendent

McCullough still on payroll

Keyes Superintendent of Schools Ricky McCullough has been suspended with pay by the Keyes School board.

Contacted by The Boise
City News, Board Member J.C. Moser said McCullough was suspended during an Oct. 23 School Board meeting.

“We can't talk about that,” Moser said.

Board President Ernest Eslinger said that McCullough had been suspended “For cause.” and was currently “...under investigation.” Eslinger declined to explain what the investigation consisted of, explaining that that information had been discussed in Executive Session on the 23rd.

Asked to confirm or deny that McCullough had been absent for several days from his job, Eslinger replied, “He has been absent quite a bit.”

McCullough and his family moved to Keyes from Balko at mid-summer where he had spent his first year as a superintendent. He is a graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant.
