Titans fall to Buffalo The Titans of Yarbrough-Keyes, a team in a difficult first year took a 54 to six shellacking from a much larger, experienced Buffalo team with several more players from which to choose. A tough Buffalo defense keeping the Titans deep and a punishing offense spelled doom for the Maroon and Blue. Buffalo had one offensive TD in the first quarter with a 23 yard run, the attempt for two failed; Six zero, Buffalo. A Titan fumble set up a 40-yard Buffalo run, with another attempt for two failing, 12- zero Buffalo. Buffalo scored three more times times before the half on runs of 47, 65 and one yard; two attempts for two were successful. Graizer scored the Titans only touchdown on a 54-yard run, attempt for two failed, 34-six. Buffalo's scoring was slowed during the third period with one run for two yards, attempt for two was successful, 42-six. Buffalo tacked on two more touchdowns in the fourth quarter, the first on a 29-yard run, try for two failed, 48-six.
Then, with a minute thirty on the clock Buffalo scored for the eighth time on a 20-yard offensive play and the game was called, 54-six. Buffalo had 13 first downs to the Titans four; 355 yards rushing to 125 for the Titans, and Buffalo picked up 43 yards through the air. Buffalo had a total of 398 yards of offense, to 125 for the Titans. The Titans had seven pass attempts, no completions and one interception; Buffalo five attempts, three completions and no interceptions.
