Cimarron County trio excel at OSU
Stillwater- Joshua Armstrong and Jillian Prather of Boise City, and Nicole Fry of Keyes, students at Oklahoma State University , are among 393 freshmen taking part in the Oklahoma State University Honors College .
“We are delighted that these outstanding new students have chosen to become active participants in OSU's nationally-recognized Honors College ,” said Dr. Robert Spurrier, Honors College director. “They are seeking out academic challenges in one of the most developed Honors Colleges in the nation, and our faculty and professional staff will do our best to provide a supportive learning environment as these students work toward their Honors College Degrees.”
The OSU program was developed in the 1960s for students in the College of Arts and Sciences, and was expanded in 1989 to include all undergraduate colleges at OSU. The honors program, considered a leader nationally, meets or exceeds all standards established by the National Collegiate Honors Council, an organization of more than 800 colleges and universities across the U.S.
